About the project
The challenge
We wanted a simple, fast and private app for daily family life, without locking into a paid SaaS for features we can build ourselves.
What we did
Hemma is a vanilla-JS PWA. PIN per user (env-vars). Sync via Netlify Blobs with strong-read consistency and delta-based ops (insert/update/delete/swap/move) compressed before write. Etag CAS ensures conflict-free sync even with two offline editors. AI (Claude) wrote ~80% of the code.
